Basic Requirements for ALL Positions :
- 18 Years of age, U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
- Pass a civil, criminal, and employment background check
- Pass a drugs check
- Have reliable transportation
- Be physically capable of performing the job
- Be well groomed and professional in appearance
Background and Job Experience:
- Held a BSIS Guard Registration with a minimum of 6 months experience as a Security professional
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current California BSIS Guard Registration ("Guard Card").
- Certificates showing completion of the BSIS 40 hours training courses as documented at the BSIS website found here BSIS Training Requirements
- Details of the BSIS training classes can be found here BSIS available training courses
- Certificate showing completion of the annual 8 hour BSIS refresher course
- Current BSIS Permit for Exposed Firearm (for some positions)
- Current BSIS Baton Permit and Pepper Spray (for some positions)
Other Skills and Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent team player and able to work well with the general public
- First Aid or First Responder trained
- Defensive Tactics training or experience
- Arrest and Control techniques training or experience
- Vehicle driving and defensive driving skills.
